I say it should be for MATURE teenagers because of the subject matter. There is violence, prevalent language, and drug use, but that isn't why young kids shouldn't be able to play it. It is, however, rated M for mature, and that turns parents off immediately, or, at least, in my case. THis is a good game if you aren 't sure about letting your child get Grand Theft Auto, as this game is far less worse. You also have an option to rob stores, i that is your cup of tea. Oh, and to get money, you have to hack people's bank accounts, and kill opponents.

There are in-game purchases, but you can eventually get them for free if you spend points wisely. THis is all blurred., but you can tell what is going on.You have the option to buy cars, which can cost quite a bit of time. In one mission, you are forced to stop a sex auction, which shows naked women. However, these were really hard to get to, and only happened once. While you are hacking, you can encounter some pretty rare scenarios, which were very raunchy. The sexual content is pretty much only in the cutscene. The drugs aren't necessarily drugs, as they put you into entertaining video games. Alcohol and drug use is totally optional. Everyone online is usually friendly, but just be aware. The language is frequent, but not anything that your kids haven't seen in school. It had a few game modes, but most of them were about killing. You can go around and kill people if you please, but it can be avoided, as long as you aren't playing the missions. You are a vigilante who is trying to right is previous life of crime (for the most part). This is totally appropriate for any kid thirteen and older. I have played watch_dogs since it came out, and have done everything there is to do in the game. If you have a kid who wants GTA V and you don't want them to, than I would look for this game or one of the earlier GTA games. And with that, that is my parent review for Watch Dogs from a kid's perspective. Another one is an addition Digital Trip, which are fun side games, and the last one is a season pass that gives you discounts and all the other dlc with it. 2 of them are extra mission content (haven't played so can't review that part), and one of those have extra perks, outfits, and guns that you get from purchasing.

There is extra content in this game that you have to pay for (DLC), but they don't add much and range from $4.99 to $14.99 in US dollars. You can also find people smoking on the streets. You can buy drinks at a bar for a focus boost (focus slows down time to play car drifts, gun aiming, or just for the fun), and you can play a drinking mini game which results with you getting drunk, but only for a couple seconds and your guy can walk perfectly fine. There are no n-words or anything, just basic everyday swears.

The swearing is pretty basic, but there sure is a lot of it. It can also say that someone buys a lot of condoms or something. Some people that you profile can have their search history, which is usually hentai. You are hacking through cameras and if you go to one (you don't have to go to this specific one), you can see another prostitute in the same clothes (thong with no shirt) making out with a guy. The last bit of nudity is in one mission. No one gets hurt, but the prostitute is wearing the same thing the girls at the auction were. In one of the side missions you can do, there is one thing where there is a prostitute and a guy playing Russian Roulette. Once you actually go to the auction to stop it, there are a ton of woman with no shirts and thongs. You get a couple glimpses of her breasts and handcuffs, but that's it. One part of these missions have you dress up as someone, infiltrate a club, and get your "special delivery." Said delivery is a nude woman. There is also another couple missions about an auction, that is actually a human-trafficking thing. The sex in it is that in a couple missions, you can see a man getting blown. A sound is rewarded for getting a headshot and a bit of extra blood splatter but that's it. Guns, explosions, and the main character has a baton that he uses for "take downs", but you can only use it on enemies, such as criminals and police. (they are all main villains of the story) When it comes to violence, its pretty basic shooter-open world violence. Unlike the second game, you HAVE to kill at least three people.

Im not going to get into the story, but I will say that the main character will go through anyone who gets in his path. This game is GTA but toned down and worse.
